These guidelines apply to anyone submitting a campaign through /campaigns/create on Faxio. They describe which causes are eligible, what documentation is required, how submissions are reviewed, and what is expected of a campaign once it is live. By submitting a campaign, you agree to follow these guidelines as well as our Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligible Causes
Faxio supports campaigns raising funds for genuine personal and community needs, including:
- Medical: Treatment, hospital bills, and critical care support.
- Accident & Emergency: Urgent care after accidents and unexpected emergencies.
- Children: Support for children's health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Education: School fees, supplies, and tuition for students in need.
- Food: Meals and basic necessities for families going without.
- Families: Financial relief for households facing sudden hardship.
- Disability Support: Equipment, therapy, and care for people with disabilities.
- Disaster Relief: Rebuilding support after floods, fires, and other disasters.
Campaigns outside these categories, or raising funds for commercial ventures, political or religious causes, or purposes unrelated to genuine personal need, are not eligible.
2. Required Documentation
To submit a campaign, you will generally need to provide:
- Identity verification: A valid government-issued ID for the campaign creator, and for the beneficiary where they are a different person.
- Supporting documents: Evidence relevant to the cause, such as medical reports, hospital bills, treatment estimates, police reports, or school admission letters, depending on the category.
- Bank details: Account information for fund disbursement to the beneficiary or an authorized representative.
- Contact information: A valid email address and phone number for follow-up during review.
3. Review and Verification Process
Submitting a campaign does not guarantee that it will be published. Not all submitted campaigns are automatically approved — every campaign is subject to review before it goes live.
The general review process is as follows:
- You submit the campaign along with the required documentation.
- Our team reviews the submission for completeness, eligibility, and consistency of the supporting documents.
- We may contact you for additional information or clarification.
- The campaign is either approved and published, sent back with requested changes, or declined.
Review timelines are not guaranteed in this demo. In a live deployment, this section would describe an expected turnaround time.
4. Prohibited Content and Misuse
The following are not permitted on Faxio:
- False, exaggerated, or fabricated claims about the cause, condition, or need
- Forged or altered supporting documents
- Duplicate campaigns for the same need across multiple accounts
- Campaigns raising funds on behalf of someone without their knowledge or consent
- Offensive, discriminatory, or exploitative language or imagery
- Using donated funds for a purpose materially different from what was stated in the campaign
5. Once Your Campaign Is Live
Campaign creators are expected to:
- Post periodic updates on the beneficiary's status or progress
- Provide a general account of how funds have been or will be used (fund-utilization reporting)
- Respond to reasonable follow-up requests from our review team
- Notify us promptly if the underlying need changes (for example, the goal is met through other means, or the beneficiary's situation changes)
6. Consequences of Violations
Campaigns found to violate these guidelines may be suspended, edited, or removed at our discretion. Where a campaign is found to involve fraud or misuse of funds, we may take further action, and any donations involved would be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
7. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
