This Refund Policy explains when a donation made through Faxio may be eligible for a refund or cancellation. It applies in addition to our Donation Terms.
1. General Principle
Charitable donations are, as a general rule, non-refundable once processed. Campaigns on Faxio typically support urgent needs, and funds may be disbursed to a beneficiary shortly after being received. Please review campaign details carefully before donating.
2. Placeholder Exceptions
The following are examples of circumstances where a refund request may reasonably be considered. This list is illustrative and placeholder in nature, not a guaranteed or exhaustive commitment:
- Duplicate transactions: You were accidentally charged more than once for the same donation.
- Erroneous amount: You donated an amount significantly different from what you intended due to a technical error.
- Unauthorized or fraudulent use: Your payment method was used without your authorization.
- Campaign found to violate our guidelines: A campaign is found, after investigation, to have violated our Campaign Guidelines (e.g. fraudulent documentation).
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us at support@faxio.in as soon as possible after the donation, including the campaign name, donation date, amount, and reason for the request. This is a placeholder contact process — a live deployment would include a specific request window and required documentation.
4. Review Process
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We may ask for additional information, such as proof of payment or identification, to verify the request. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe, though this demo does not commit to a specific service-level timeline.
5. Processing of Approved Refunds
Where a refund is approved, it would typically be returned to the original payment method. Actual processing times depend on the payment provider and are outside our control. As this demo does not connect to a real payment gateway, no real refunds are processed through this Site.
6. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Donations are generally not refundable simply because a donor changes their mind, because a campaign does not reach its funding goal, or because a donor disagrees with how a verified beneficiary ultimately uses disbursed funds within the stated purpose of the campaign.
